Sinotruk has exported 500,000 heavy trucks to countries along the “Belt and Road”
Sinotruk actively responds to the national "Belt and Road" initiative, insists on going out for development, and has embarked on a unique international development path for Chinese brands by combining products, markets, channels, and brands. At present, Sinotruk products have a market share of more than 60% in key markets such as sub-Saharan Africa and the Philippines. High-end products such as Shande trucks have become synonymous with local Chinese heavy truck brands.
Up to now, more than 500,000 heavy trucks have been exported to countries along the “Belt and Road” to assist in the construction of major projects and become a trusted partner of customers along the route.
The international market is changing rapidly, and industry competition continues to intensify. In order to win opportunities, Sinotruk strengthens top-level planning and design, coordinates market research and judgment and local layout, and focuses on the development needs of overseas markets. Sinotruk accelerates the implementation of localized manufacturing. Dozens of KD factories have been built in Nigeria, Kenya, Morocco, Uzbekistan and other countries and regions, and the overseas production capacity can reach 10,000 vehicles per year, effectively improving the product competitiveness and brand influence of Sinotruk in the local market.
In the first half of this year, Sinotruk exported more than 65,000 heavy trucks, a year-on-year increase of 64%. Zhongtong Bus received a one-time order of 1,000 buses. The President of Kyrgyzstan personally attended the delivery ceremony in Zhongtong.
